Okonkwo joined Wrexham on loan from the Gunners at the start of the season and has established himself as the club's number one. The goalkeeper has impressed since taking over between the sticks following Ben Foster's retirement and won't be recalled by his parent club this window. The 22-year-old is dreaming of promotion and hopes to grow the Red Dragon fan base even further.

Speaking on the ‘Welcome To Wrexham’ documentary, Okonkwo said: “I’m told Wrexham sell more shirts than Arsenal in the USA.
"We were lucky to get 3,000 [at Crewe Alexandra] and here at Wrexham we are getting 12,000 or whatever, every game. And there were no Hollywood owners at Crewe! It’s a completely different experience."

Okonkwo won the Austrian Cup last season whilst on loan at Sturm Graz, beating Rapid Vienna 2-0 in the final. The goalkeeper played 15 times for the Austrian side after 23 for Crewe earlier in the season.

Okonkwo will line up between the sticks for Wrexham against Blackburn in the FA Cup tomorrow. After this season, Okonkwo is set to return to Arsenal although Wrexham may well look to make the deal permanent should he keep impressing.
