According to reports in The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to sell midfielder Victor Wanyama this summer after he has struggled to reclaim his spot in the starting XI following injury issues at the end of 2017.
Spurs may look to move the 26-year-old on in order to raise funds to make new signings ahead of their move to their new stadium next season, and it appears as though Mauricio Pochettino is happy for the Kenya international to be one of the casualties.
Wanyama formed an impressive partnership with current Everton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin during the duo’s time together at Southampton, helping the south coast outfit have one of the best defensive records in the Premier League at the time.
With the African star potentially on his way and with the Merseyside outfit likely to be busy in the transfer market again following a below-par campaign, we asked Toffees fans to vote on our poll to see whether they would back their club making a move for the former Celtic man.
63% said they would like to see Wanyama in the middle of the park for them next term, and he would certainly add a big barrier in front of an Everton back four that has struggled on many occasions this season.
